Dr. Preciado is a Professor (with tenure) of Surgery and Pediatrics at George Washington University and Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s National Hospital in Washington DC. He leads complex tertiary referral surgical programs in pediatric airway reconstruction, childhood hearing loss/cochlear implants, and velopharyngeal insufficiency. Dr. Preciado’s research has been funded through various grants including R01, U01, and R21 grants from the NIH. He has authored over 180 PubMed indexed peer-reviewed manuscripts, 25 book chapters and 3 edited books. He is Past President of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (2020-2021) and the International Society for Otitis Media (2019-2023). In 2020 he was awarded the Robert Ruben Scientific Achievement Award from the Society for Ear Nose and Throat Advances in Children (SENTAC). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
