Dr. Hugo Rodríguez is a pediatric otolaryngologist with a longstanding career dedicated to the care of children with complex airway and ENT conditions. He received his medical training and completed his residency in otolaryngology at the Pedro de Elizalde Pediatric Hospital in Buenos Aires, where he also served as chief resident and later as an instructor of pediatric otolaryngology residents.
Currently, Dr. Rodríguez is Chief of the Respiratory Endoscopy Department at the prestigious National Pediatric Hospital Prof. Dr. Juan P. Garrahan in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His clinical and academic focus is on pediatric airway management, with a particular emphasis on syndromic and complex patients.
Dr. Rodríguez has held several prominent leadership roles, including President of the Argentine Federation of Otorhinolaryngology Societies (FASO) and Past-President of the Argentine Association of Pediatric Otolaryngology and Phonoaudiology (AAOFP). Internationally, he serves as Vice President of the Interamerican Association of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (IAPO), is a member of the Board of Directors of the Societa ORL Latina, and an International Member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO). He also served as General Secretary of the World Congress of Pediatric ENT in 2019.
He is a consultant for the Latin-American SusySafe Project, aimed at the prevention of foreign body injuries in children.
Dr. Rodríguez is the author of numerous peer-reviewed publications and has contributed to several book chapters in the field. He is also an editor of the Pediatric ENT Manuals published by the AAOFP.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Rodríguez is a proud supporter of Racing Club, one of Argentina’s historic football teams.
