Hidenori grew up in Japan and earned his MD from Nara Medical University and PhD from Osaka University. Before joining the Rosenthal lab in Vanderbilt University Medical School, he worked as an associate professor at the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Osaka University. His research focused on circulating DNA and HPV-related Head and Neck cancer. Hidenori joined the Rosenthal Lab in July 2023 and made intraoperative fluorescence imaging one of his life works . He aspires to work as an phisician scientist and optimize cancer treatments using in vivo imaging and liquid biopsy.
