Amanda Baanante is a third-year medical student at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, with an anticipated graduation in 2027. Originally from Rhode Island, Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Vermont, followed by a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. She has a strong interest in otolaryngology and is currently involved in research under the mentorship of Dr. Michele Carr. Amanda has served as co-president of the ENT Student Interest Group and vice president of the Association of Women Surgeons, Buffalo Medical Student Chapter. She is passionate about pursuing a surgical career and is committed to leadership and advocacy for women in medicine.
