Dr. Rachel Jonas is an Assistant Professor of Laryngology in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at University of Kentucky Healthcare. Dr. Jonas completed her undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Chapell Hill. She earned her Medical Degree from Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in 2018 and completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville. She began practicing in Kentucky after completing her fellowship in Laryngology at the University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle. As a fellowship-trained laryngologist, Dr. Jonas specializes in medical and surgical care of patients treating complex pathology of the airway and the upper digestive system. She uses a variety of diagnostic techniques and performs in-office procedures and surgical interventions on the larynx, upper esophagus and trachea. Dr. Jonas works closely with other University of Kentucky HealthCare specialists and speech-language pathologists to deliver exceptional care to her patients.
