Taimur Khalid is a fourth year medical student at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at University of Nevada Las Vegas with a bachelor of science degree in biology and mathematics. Taimur is interested in the field of otolaryngology and has completed a one-year research fellowship with the UNLV Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, developing a strong background in translational and clinical research. His work spans experimental studies—such as modeling ventilator fire conditions in porcine cadavers, measuring inner ear sound transduction using piezoelectric components, and developing 3D renderings of the cricoarytenoid joint for prosthetic design—as well as clinical investigations. He has co-authored systematic reviews and meta-analyses on topics including immunotherapy in head and neck cancer and rare neoplasms such as spindle epithelial tumors with thymus-like elements. He is also involved in multiple case reports across the spectrum of otolaryngology and oncology.
