Claudia Gutierrez, MD, MS is a Fellow in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of Miami. She completed her residency at the University of Virginia and medical school at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. With a background in biomedical engineering, her research focuses on medical device innovation and the translation of laser-based technologies to characterize tissue biomechanics. She is a former Fulbright Scholar, an active member of the AAO-HNS Pan-American Committee, and is passionate about advancing global collaboration in surgery and innovation. She is currently seeking an academic position in head and neck surgery.
