Karla P. Vélez-Mojica, MPH is a fourth-year medical student at Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico and a rising otolaryngologist committed to advancing evidence-based surgical care. She is the founder and leader of the Otolaryngology Interest Group, dedicated to providing mentorship, workshops and exposure to medical students curious about the field. She is passionate about all things ENT, but what motivates her the most is being a professional that helps reduce disparities among Spanish-speaking populations, not only for patients but also future students interested in this wonderful field.
