Melina J. Windon, MD is an Assistant Professor of Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology--Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. She completed her residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and went on to complete a fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Michigan. Her interest include 1) the epidemiology of head and neck cancers with a focus on HPV-associated cancers, 2) patient preferences and decision-making and 3) dissemination and implementation science focused on improving head and neck cancer care, in particular on identifying and addressing factors contributing to cancer disparities among rural populations.
