Medical Student
University of Virginia School of Medicine
Christopher Bowman, BS, is a third-year medical student at the University of Virginia School of Medicine with a strong interest in otolaryngology. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Christopher is passionate about patient advocacy, health policy, and community outreach—particularly through his involvement with Ear Community, a nonprofit organization that provides a supportive space for individuals born with microtia and aural atresia. He supports affected families by offering guidance and resources throughout the medical decision-making process. His research spans multiple areas within otolaryngology, including laryngeal disorders, free flap reconstruction, pediatrics, and functional dysphagia. He plans to pursue a career in academic otolaryngology, with a strong commitment to advocacy and research, and a particular focus in pediatric otolaryngology, otology, and craniofacial reconstruction.
