PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: A panel discussion of PE backed, large group and hospital based practice in our current economic environment. Many private practices are finding it difficult to thrive and are looking for ways to remain clinically independent while improving how the business is run.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 1: Understand the economic pressures that exist today in private practice.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 2: Understand options for nonacademic practices to improve how the practice efficiency while maintaining a clinical practice.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 3: Understand how physicians are better off when we work together for common goals.

BACKGROUND STATEMENT: Private practices are under stress from reduced reimbursements and increasing costs, resulting in decreasing income and increasing stress and burn out. This panel will discuss strategies to mitigate these factors while preserving the ability to enjoy patient care.
