PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Pediatric Voice disorders compromise a unique set of disorders that differ from adult voice disorders. The focus of this panel will be on case based learning to illustrate a series of pediatric voice disorders and their management. Management will cover diagnostic tools, medical management, surgical management. Cases covered will include: Pediatric nodules, cysts, vocal fold paralysis, post airway reconstruction dysphonia. Review of relevant literature pertinent to each specific case will be reviewed during the course.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 1: Describe the management of common pediatric voice disorders such as vocal nodules, paralysis, and post airway reconstruction dysphonia.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 2: Be able to describe the differences and similarities between adult and pediatric management of common dysphonias.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 3: Discuss the controversies in management of common pediatric voice problems.

BACKGROUND STATEMENT: The topic of pediatric voice disorders and their management were noted in the gap analysis, This panel has assembled a group of leaders in pediatric voice to address this topic through case based learning and discussion.
